Meta Misto
In 2017, the NGO "Congress of Cultural Activists" as part of the project "Metamisto: East" within the program "City Code" carried out cultural mapping of six frontline cities (Bakhmut, Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, Dobropillya, Kostiantynivka, Pokrovsk). Through the method of monitoring the process, video recording of everyday life of cultural and educational institutions was carried out.

Pokrovsk
In 1905 at the station Gryshyne (now Pokrovsk) was organized the first Ukrainian choir of railway workers under the direction of world-famous composer and teacher M. Leontovych. More than a century later, in frontline Pokrovsk, locals are once again trying to preserve their identity through song.
Severodonetsk
Severodonetsk is a living front-line city. Life is pulsating here, many formal and informal institutions are working at the same time, regional administrations have moved here, independent media platforms have been created, and on the Day of Reunification people dance hopak, hug and make wishes there...
Bakhmut
Emblem of Ukraine, placed on the building of the Artemivsk City Council, was smashed by “DNR” militants on May 23, 2014. It was saved at the risk of life by a local young man and transferred to the recently renamed Bakhmut Museum of Local Lore. Speaking about the search for Ukrainian identity in working with the local population, the director of the museum shares his opinion: "You don't have to be fast, you don't have to be fast, you have to make right ..."
Kostiantynivka
"There would be no such happiness if it weren't for this misfortune. Not this war ..." - during the years of external aggression, so many personalities came to the front line Kostiantynivka that the city's residents had never seen in their entire lives. And now in the city, where the feeling of depression is retransmitted, there is hope for the revival of cultural values.
Lysychansk
A city where the experience of war, conflicts, attempts to understand each other and with others passes through destinies and hearts. "... they said, 'Mara, human is the creator of his/her own destiny.'
Dobropillia
"First they learn to play the flutes, and then they grow into Ukrainian rock musicians!" - Adults of Dobropillya look at children attentively, trying to give them as much as possible.
